Social sciences
(Redirected from Social science)
The social sciences are academic disciplines that deal with human behaviour in its social and cultural aspects. Exactly what disciplines to include may be controversial. In some cases, such as anthropology, some argued sub-disciplines may be classified as social sciences, while other argued sub-disciplines may not.
Despite the name, the disciplines, or parts of these disciplines, classified as social sciences do not necessarily use the scientific method. A related term is "behavioral sciences", which may be used synonymously with social sciences, or may suggest a more experimental approach.
