Ideology

An ideology is a system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic or political theory and policy, that aims to both to explain the world and to change it. The term is often used in the context of politics. The term can also be used to describe the science of ideas; the study of their origin and nature as well as a visionary speculation, especially of an unrealistic or idealistic nature.
