Homo (Latin: "human being") is a taxonomic group of primates to which humans belong. Other notable subgroups include Neanderthals, Denisovans, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, and Homo heidelbergensis, among others. Classifications and relationships within the group, and to other related taxonomic groups, are disputed.
