Fenian Brotherhood

The Fenian Brotherhood was an Irish nationalist secret society active chiefly in Ireland, the United States, and Britain, especially during the 1860s.

"Fenian" and similar terms have been used as umbrella terms for the Fenian Brotherhood and the Irish Republican Brotherhood. They are today sometimes used as derogatory terms for certain groups.
