Thanks for the welcome message

Hey, nice to meet you! The sheer amount of work you've put in Metapedia is honestly impressive. You have my respect.

As I get to know the site more, all the damage that Upplysning has done is coming to light, from 2015-protected pages that only he edited, some of which are still protected today, to the deletion of critical formatting pages and files that result in broken-looking formatting, in addition to seemingly unreasonably banning contributors.

I'll be working on improving the formatting to the degree that I can which entails restoring some of the deleted pages, and otherwise mostly be focusing on statistics for now.

As I'm new, any advice/feedback/to dos/not to dos is much appreciated.

Do you know how I can apply for other language versions of Metapedia by the way? The register pages often return permission errors. [Example]

Thank you for your words, Cosmoflips, they are well received. If you need any help on regular issues, please let me know. Direkt administrative questions to User:Matt58 who will assist you. About the Spanish section: Please try to contact either Usuario:Walter Romero or Usuario:T-Knight, I am sure one of these gentlemen can get you started. --Crusader (talk) 19:44, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

SS Division "Wiking"

Very pleased you have put up a page for the Viking Division which is most important given the huge numbers of volunteers who joined it in the European continent's crusade against communism. My only point is that you say it only had German officers. Is that completely true? What about, for instance, Leon Degrelle? Matt58 (talk) 13:53, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

One day, I hope we will have all the divisions, but that will take time. I looked at the article, but it doesn't say, only German officers, but overall command was German. I will add a word, which should make this more clear for our readers. Degrelle commanded a brigade, but not the division. --Crusader (talk) 16:10, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

Operation Weserübung

No-one in the English-speaking world will be looking for this title. That's a simple fact. I suggest you put a redirection in from 'German Invasion of Norway' or something similarly obvious. Also, too much ordinary script in the sources, and not enough English-language actual sources. One of the problems Wikipedia has with their pages - on fake Polish history, for instance, is that virtually all the sources cited are Polish-language, and therefore inaccessible and incomprehensible to the entire rest of the world (as well as being hopelessly biased). I cannot emphasise sufficiently that this is the English-language Metapedia and that the majority of sources must be in English. I have noticed in the past that you put in links to the German-language Metapedia? What good is that to the English-speaking world? It is just silly. I think I have some sources on the Norwegian campaign and will dig them out; but maybe you should consider where to put the huge blocks of script in the actual page proper if you feel it is absolutely necessary. Matt58 (talk) 21:41, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Done. Metapedia is international, many readers also know German ... or translate the German page. These links are only there until the article exists in English. As you surely have seen over the years, when I initiate an English language article on a subject, I delete the German links. --Crusader (talk) 21:47, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Metapedia has different sites in different languages. Myself I did German at school. But it was a small class and you should be aware that the overwhelming majority of English-speaking countries know no other language than their own. I am not criticising your work per se but trying to point out that this is the English-language Metapedia. Matt58 (talk) 08:52, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

I understand you, Matt, and 20 years ago, I would have agreed wholeheartedly. I asked my daughter about this subject, who is preparing herself for Abitur and Latein exams. She just smiled and explained how foreign language research is not a problem "for the youth" (her words) because they all use translation programs, although these are not perfect and German students learn at least (per law) two foreign languages. I do not see a problem in allowing our readers to translate a German article, if the topic is important, until we can offer one in English. --Crusader (talk) 14:31, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

My three daughters all speak at least one foreign language. That is not the issue here. People are lazy. They don't want to mess about. They just want the article up in front of them. Matt58 (talk) 17:56, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

I have not checked who is responsible but I wonder if you could look at the ridiculous huge blocks of information in the sources section of Operation Weserübung. It seems to me that these should be worked into the article itself and not be here. Likewise there is sufficient information for a small biography of the person with another huge block of info.Matt58 (talk) 17:53, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Got a bit out of hand, I will work them in. --Crusader (talk) 18:00, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

Pomerania

There is already a page for Pomerania on Metapedia. Regardless of what it is in the German language no English-speaking person would search for Province of Pomerania, but just Pomerania. You should have checked before creating another page. Please sort this out. Matt58 (talk) 10:47, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Of course there is an article Pomerania, I linked to that. --Crusader (talk) 19:38, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Nuclear

I refer you to National Socialist Germany's nuclear weapons program. This is a very clumsy title (with the American spelling of programme) And I think the page heading should be simply German or Germany's Nuclear Weapons. the fuller description can remain on the page. No-one will be searching for the title as it currently appears. Matt58 (talk) 15:41, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

I agree, Matt ... seeing Nat is not active anymore, you should do that (with your administrator rights). --Crusader (talk) 17:18, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Done. Matt58 (talk) 17:53, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

Query

You say that Bernhard Rust was born in Hanover into a wealthy family but his father is given as a carpenter.......Matt58 (talk) 14:49, 26 March 2024 (UTC)

Good point, I have now clarified. --Crusader (talk) 19:31, 26 March 2024 (UTC)

Tito

This page is almost incomprehensible in places. Are you working on it? Matt58 (talk) 10:35, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

I will take a look at it right now. --Crusader (talk) 14:30, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Done (cleaning up Hu1's original text), but it will probably need some of your fine-tuning. --Crusader (talk) 15:53, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

I will deal with the grammar. Matt58 (talk) 10:06, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

Thanks! --Crusader (talk) 15:16, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

British India

I think you've cocked up on this subject and with your redirections etc. See Indian Empire. Matt58 (talk) 14:31, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

I'll take a look right away. --Crusader (talk) 16:36, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
Nope, not at all. Nowhere within the article India is there a reference to British India or Indian Empire (never even heard that term), so there was now way for me to know. In the article Indian Empire, there is no reference to India. I will straighten this out. By the way, British Raj always redirected to India. British India did not exist (until now). --Crusader (talk) 16:53, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Officially and legally British India was known as the Indian Empire from 28th June 1858. Queen Victoria was the first Empress and King George VI the last Emperor. And let me say that the American Encyclopaedia Britannica is quite wrong in its explanation. Naturally. They are anti-imperialists. I shall do something about that when I have time. Matt58 (talk) 10:33, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

"Indian Empire", that was new to me ... but good to know. --Crusader (talk) 18:11, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
