Josef (Sepp) Schuster was an early member of the NSDAP who marched with Hitler during the abortive Munich Putsch. After the failed attempt to seize power, Schuster traveled to the United States and helped organize two of the first National Socialist organizations in America namely the Teutonia Society and Friends of the New Germany. Schuster along with Fritz Gissibl returned to Germany and organized Kameradschaft-USA (Comrades from America).

Sepp Schuster was instrumental in organizing the meeting between German American Bund leader Fritz Kuhn and Adolf Hitler in 1936.[1]
