Left-Wing Illegal Activism
Warman has initiated complaints against a large number of right wing and nationalist groups and individuals he claims have violated the "Canadian Human Rights" act. These include the Canadian Heritage Alliance and its spokeswoman Melissa Guille; Jason Ouwendyk and the Northern Alliance; Marc Lemire; Tomasz Winnicki; Alex Kulbashian and James Scott Richardson of the Canadian Ethnic Cleansing Team; Bobby Wilkinson and his Canadian Nazi Party ; Craig Harrison; Terry Tremaine; Glenn Bahr, Peter Kouba, Jessica Beaumont and Ciaran Paul Donnelly, all formerly with the group Western Canada For Us; Alex Di Civita; Liz Lampman; Fred Kyburz; and, Eldon Warman. As of late 2007, Warman is threatening to file a Libel Suite against the Conservative website, Free Dominion and its webmasters,Mark Fournier and his wife Connie Fournier[1].
In addition to Kyburz and Eldon Warman, Richard Warman also raised concerns about Wally Dove, another member of the Canadian detax movement who was attempting to use his qualifications as a Certified General Accountant (CGA) to promote unlawful tax evasion schemes. The Chartered General Accountants of Ontario later revoked Dove's CGA and obtained an injunction ordering him to stop claiming to be a CGA thereafter. Warman has also sued three people for libel, Paul Fromm, Jason Ouwendyk and David Icke. He attempted to have the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) block access to two United States-based websites.
Illegal Actions
The Warman v. Lemire hearing heard evidence from expert witness Bernard Klatt that a highly inflammatory post using the "N-word" to describe Canadian Senator Anne Cools was posted on the forum by the same IP address that Richard Warman subsequently used to print documents from the Freedomsite while preparing his complaint. He has also signed up to Stormfront under the pseudonym "Pogue Mahone" and The VNN Forum under the pseudonym "Axetogrind", where he made racist posts contrary to Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act similar to the ones he files complaints against.
His racist post on the Freedomsite forum, that he subsequently filed a complaint against, open up the issue as to whether or not the Tribunal should take into consideration whether or not sites that host public forums can fall victim to individuals like Richard Warman.
Richard Warman was also videotaped by a documentary crew counseling members of the Anti-Racist Action to commit assault on David Icke.
Victim Complex
Warman is also known for his attempt to have the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) block access to two United States-based hate websites that included what Bernie Farber of the Canadian Jewish Congress described as a "murder warrant" against Warman. Then again, Bernie Farber has been known to exaggerate repeatedly as well as lie.
In refusing the initial ex parte application, the CRTC stated: "In the Commission's view, given the unprecedented nature of the relief sought in the Application and the serious and fundamental issues it raises, as well as the fact that the specific approval is being sought in favour of Canadian carriers without notice to such carriers, it would be inappropriate to consider granting the interim relief sought in the Application on an ex-parte basis, and in particular without affording Canadian carriers and all other interested parties the opportunity to comment."
A Real Lawyer?
Aside from all the illegal actions that are unbecoming of a lawyer, Richard Warman is merely a lawyer by name. His law degree is merely a sham to present himself with that esteem in front of the Tribunal and other individuals. He pays his yearly dues to the Law Society of Upper Canada. The Law Society however, states that he is not currently practicing law [2]. He is presumably employed by the Department of National Defense (Canada) where he seems to get enough time off from work to spend well upwards of 30 days a year in hearings. He was previously employed by Department of Transportation in the Accessibility Division (for the handicapped).
