Battlecry as of 2006

Battlecry is a pro-White Heavy Metal duo from New York. Its members are David Johnn and Richard "Spartan" Stewart. According to its members on the official web-site

Battlecry was formed in response to what we saw as a lack of Heavy Metal representation in the music of the Pro White movement. Over the span of 20 years we have played in many bands, even operating a commercial recording studio for some time. We hope those of you who purchase the Battlecry CD's enjoy the direction we are taking in spreading the Pro White message. And we hope you in turn continue to spread this message, for together we are strong.

Actually, the only pro-White appearences in the Metal scene have been those of National Socialist Black Metal, which is quite different from classical Heavy Metal. Battlecry has received a huge support on Stormfront forums, as many of its users like Heavy Metal music.

Keepers of the light track is a result of a collaboration between Battlecry and Prussian Blue. Hot Gates of Hell is about the fight between the Spartan warrior Leonidas and the Persian king Xerses. It features the famous sentence: Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, that here, obedient to their laws, we lie whose narration was performed by Kevin Alfred Strom. Immigrant Song is a cover of Led Zeppelin.
