Hitler read Hedin's book in 1942. He mentioned the book in a speech in November 1942.[1] And Swedish wikipedia says that the book "Amerika im Kampf der Kontinente" was published in 1942. --Estellenation 19:31, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

It is possible Hedin sent it to Hitler first for his approval. I have a first edition of the German-language book and it is dated 1943. See the scan of the title page. Irrefutable evidence. Matt58 (talk) 12:07, 21 December 2021 (UTC)

OK I believe you. The important thing here is whether Hitler read the book in 1942 or not. Hitler said this in November 1942: Recently Sven Hedin published a book in which he gratifyingly now quotes word for word my offer to the Poles which was conveyed at that time through the English. I must say that I really felt a chill when I read through this offer again recently. --Estellenation 15:53, 21 December 2021 (UTC)

Where did he say that? Whatever, the first German-language edition in Germany was 1943. It is possible another edition, in whatever language, was published in Sweden. Matt58 (talk) 11:38, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
