Karl-Otto Koch

Karl-Otto Koch (2 August 1897 – 5 April 1945) was a German SS offcer and commandant of the so-called Holocaust camps Buchenwald and Majdanek.

He was investigated by the SS judge Konrad Morgen for criminal negligence, corruption, fraud, embezzlement, drunkenness, sexual offences and murders. He was sentenced to death following a SS trial and executed.

His wife, Ilse Koch, was acquitted, but later sentenced to life imprisonment after two controversial trials.
