Joseph Atwill (born c. 1951), also known as Joe Atwill, is an American writer about Christianity from Montecito, California and a supporter of the Zeitgeist movement. He is best known for his book Ceasar's Messiah, which claims that the Gospels were written by Josephus for the Flavian dynasty as a fabrication to pacify rebellious Jews.[1] Atwill is very pro-Israel. His claims have been debunked.[2][3][4]
