International Atomic Energy Agency
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an organization in the inner circle of the old boy’s network of the United Nations and works on behalf of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council.
The organization was founded on July 29th, 1957, and has its headquarters in Vienna with regional offices elsewhere.
The organization played a dubious role in the leadup to the Iraq War when they falsely accused Saddam Hussein of possessing nuclear weapons, under the leadership of Egyptian Mohamed ElBaradei, which was disputed by the former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter who stated that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction in March 2003. For his role in lambasting Iraq ElBaradei received the Nobel Peace Prize on October 7th, 2005.
