Gerald L. K. Smith
Gerald Lyman Kenneth Smith (27 February 1898 – 15 April 1976) was an American minister, publisher, anti-Communist, stated anti-Semite, opponent of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and later an opponent of the Civil Rights Movement.
He was an associate of Huey P. Long.
He became a member of William Dudley Pelley's Silver Shirts organization,
Smith founded the America First Party in 1943, later renamed the Christian Nationalist Crusade / Christian Nationalist Party. He was presidential candidates several times, but at most received 1,781 votes. The organization produced the monthly magazine The Cross and the Flag. It dissolved after Smith's death.
