Confederate Emigration to Brazil

The Confederate Emigration to Brazil was a small emigration of people to from the Confederate States of America to Brazil, after the United Statian Civil War and the defeat to the United States of America. The number is estimated at around 2,500 families or 10,000 people. Its descendants are called Confederados (portuguese for Confederates).
