Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Alfred, Lord Tennyson (6 August 1809 - 6 October 1892), in full Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson of Aldworth and Freshwater, was an English poet who is often regarded as the chief representative of the Victorian age in poetry. He was raised to the peerage in 1884.
