Youth Action was formed in the Fall of 1971 which had split from the National Youth Alliance. In an attempt to appeal to both leftist and rightist activists, Youth Action on September 2, 1972 held a War Crimes Trial for members of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Military Industrial Complex in Los Angeles, California.

The "Summation for the Prosecution" and the "Verdict and Sentence" for the accused CFR war criminals can be found in two respective articles which appeared in the Winter 1972 issue of The American Mercury.[1]
