The thunderbolt symbol used by the National States Rights Party

The thunderbolt is a political symbol that has been used by at least four American White nationalist organizations. The symbol was derived from National Socialist Germany’s SS runes, imposed one on top of the other. The Atlanta based organization, Columbians, was the first group to use the thunderbolt, adopting the symbol on their armbands and stormtrooper-type uniforms.

Individuals associated with the Columbians would later form the National States Rights Party using the thunderbolt symbol on their party’s banner. The NSRP also published a newspaper call The Thunderbolt.

The National White American Party and Realpolitical Institute[1] also used the thunderbolt as their symbol.
