The ADL is noteworthy for denying that the Armenian Genocide took place, but I agree with your initial reaction. I don't think it should be in the opening, which needs to be reworded, which I will do momentarily. Scrivener 00:45, 23 April 2008 (CEST)
Strike that. The ADL was noteworthy for being Armenian Genocide deniers. In 2007, Abe Foxman said "On reflection, we have come to share the view of Henry Morgenthau, Sr. that the consequences of those actions [by the Ottoman Empire against the Armenians] were indeed tantamount to genocide. If the word genocide had existed then, they would have called it genocide." Based on that statement, I'm removing all present tense references to the Armenian Genocide from this article.
