Skadi Forum
The Skadi Forum was a "Germanic online community forum" and a "free speech forum for people of Germanic heritage" from 2002 to 2023.
Goal
- "Skadi Forum supports the preservation of our Germanic heritage, the development of an all-Germanic consciousness, as well as the defense or reestablishment of the Germanic leitkultur in all Germanic states, communities, and places of settlement. Skadi Forum acknowledges the differences between Germanic cultural branches, such as the Anglo-Saxon, the German, the Netherlandic, and the Scandinavian, and supports their future advancement and their regional diversification in accordance with their nature. Although we do not desire to define ourselves negatively, we, in light of reoccurring misunderstandings, desire to express clearly that Skadi Forum is not a white nationalist, white supremacist, pan-European, pan-Aryan, Hollywood Nazi or racist forum and that it considers such and similar unitizing, collectivist, totalitarian, oppressive and anti-pluralist ideas incompatible with our freedom-loving Germanic spirit and our diverse and enlightened Germanic societies."
Genesis and history of Skadi Forum and its offshoots
1. The Phora (previously named The Lyceum and the Freedom Forums) was founded in November 2001 by FadeTheButcher as an offshoot of an extinct gaming forum called AoKpro, as well as from the Day of Defeat forums, and Stormfront. It was known as Freedom Forums in that incarnation. It later become The Phora during the summer of 2002. It was a general discussion forum created to fill the void for ideological radicals who were ejected from just about everywhere else. It should also be noted that many of these fora are also derived of the former Nordish Physical Anthropology group on Yahoo.
2. When moderator Hellstar got banned from The Phora, he went on forming Aryan Dawn on July 19, 2002.
3. Aryan Dawn developed into Pantheon Europa. IOVVS OPTIMVS MAXIMVS (now Ederico Figallo) takes over as administrator.
4. Pantheon Europa developed into Skadi Forum. Skadi's motto is "Are you noble enough to join ?".
5. Former Pantheon Europa administrator Ederico Figallo forms Maltese website Ave-Melita.
6. The Nordish Portal, dedicated to Northern European preservation, formed as offshoot of Skadi Forum, led by ex-Skadi admin Loki. When The Nordish Portal went down, it was replaced by NordFolk, a membership-only forum designed for Northern Europeans.
7. Eventually, a perceived anti-Slavic bias encouraged Slavs to found a Slavic offshoot, the Slavic Anthropology Forum. In parallel, a perceived anti-Med bias encouraged Meds to found Dodona.
8. Ex-Skadi admin Milesian forms an offshoot forum dedicated to Irish Nationalism, on May 1st 2004.
9. The heathen forum "Blut und Boden" is formed in February 2004 by the ex-Skadi admin Folkish (formerly Kriegsmaschine).
10. Skadi Forum changes orientation to "Germanic-only" on November 26th, 2004.
11. The Stirpes forum opens on December 24th, 2004 as offshoot of Skadi, led by ex-Skadi admin Johannes de León, in reaction to the new Skadi Forum orientation.
12. Forum Germania was a short-lived offshoot of the Skadi Forum created by three former Skadi Senior Moderators (BM, Frans, and Prussian). The Forum became a haven for other Skadi moderators, Funding members, and regular members opposed to then Skadi Admin, Suomuts' policies.
13. In May 2005, Forum Großdeutsches Vaterland is set up as a forum for the exclusive membership of National Socialists, led by NSFreja (ex-Stormfront Scandinavia moderator; ex-Nordish Portal administrator) and Thule (aka Gestapo Müller from Skadi).
14. On July, 2nd 2007, Skadi Forum closes for an undetermined period, because its long-time administrator and owner Thorburn cannot find a suitable successor. Skadi Forum was then at its peak, attracting over 4,000 members and visitors a day.
15. In August 2007, The Althing was created from scratch as a successor to Skadi, which database and archives were then completely offline. It gathers most of the remaining crowd from Skadi.
16. In March 2008, Thorburn entrusts a new team of administrators and moderators with the Skadi archive. Skadi Forum is back online and merges with The Althing.
17. In the course of 2008, the former Blut Und Boden database is merged with Skadi, to preserve its information and discussions, as BuB and Skadi had tangent orientations and most of the BuB regulars were Germanic.
18. In the course of 2008, The Apricity was formed by former Skadi Forum member Hermelin and former administrator Loki, as a copy of Skadi, but not with the same overtly Germanic orientation.
Many Staff held multiple positions on BuB/Skadi Forum/NoFo/TNP/GdV/Thiazi throughout the years. As time went on, three of the "official off-shoots" (The Nordish Portal, Blut und Boden, The Althing) were merged with the Skadi Forum when they went defunct.

Skadi Forum was organized primarily as a discussion forum with multiple thematic sub-fora including "The Lounge", "Germanic & Pre-Germanic Origins", "Germanic Enclaves", "Politics", "Economics", "Philosophy", "Anthropogeny & Prehistoric Archaeology", "Physical Anthropology ", "Anthropological Taxonomy" (racial classifications), "Genetics & Human Microbiology", etc.
Design
Skadi Forum was probably one of the best-engineered vBulletin-based forums, which makes the most extensive use of the vBulletin infrastructure and possibilities. Once a member is registered, he has access to a whole range of services, customizations, pager messenging options, etc.
