Mr R.K. Jeffery.

Robert Key Jeffery (3 August 1870—22 April 1961) was a British millionaire domiciled in Chile. Out of the blue in 1953, he responded with a cheque for £1,000 to A.K. Chesterton's statement "Truth has been murdered". This donation was a major factor in the establishment of "Candour" magazine.

He went on to donate tens of thousands of pounds to fund Candour, and to found and maintain the League of Empire Loyalists

His will was entirely made over to A.K. Chesterton, but when he died his will was replaced by another in mysterious and suspicious circumstances. Although Chesterton appealed to the Chilean courts, the battle was eventually lost.
