Pharisees

The Pharisees were a sect or group of Jews that existed before the First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 AD). They are often compared to other contemporaneous groups, including the Sadducees and the Essenes. They are seen as the origin of mainstream Rabbinic Judaism.
