Palestine

Palestine is the ancient and modern land area east of the Mediterranean Sea. Today the area is occupied and ruled by the State of Israel, Hamas dominated Gaza, and the West Bank Palestinian Authority. Since 1948 the region has been contested by Arabs and Jews over who should control the land.
