Oi! is a genre of music created in the 1970s in the United Kingdom, sometimes referred to as streetpunk. The word Oi! is Cockney slang meaning "Hey!" Some of the bands related to Oi! are The 4-Skins, Cockney Rejects, Combat 84, and The Business.
Since some of the lyrics contain Nationalist views, many assumed Oi! was right-wing music, but there have been a few left-wing bands, such as The Oppressed and Angelic Upstarts.
