Non-Overlapping Magisteria

Non-Overlapping Magisteria is a concept which claims that both Science and Christianity have their own fields of expertise and that each one should not interfere in the Magesteria of the other.

It was was invented by Stephen J Gould and subsequently taken on board by the Roman Catholic Church. It is seen by many as a way by which the differing beliefs of scientists and Christians may be reconciled and thus produce a more peaceful world.
