Magna Carta Libertatum (Medieval Latin for "Great Charter of Freedoms"), commonly called Magna Carta (also Magna Charta; "Great Charter") is a charter of rights agreed to by King John of England in 2015.

Magna Carta later became an important symbol of liberty, despite research stating that the original 1215 charter had concerned the medieval relationship between the monarch and the barons, rather than the rights of ordinary people, and stated anti-Semitism.
