Jonathan J. Dickinson

Jonathan J. Dickinson was a Captain in the Second Florida Cavalry during the American Civil War and often remembered as "Florida's most conspicuous soldier." In the Battle of Gainesville, Captain Dickinson led H and F companies of the Cavalry against the occupying Union forces, ousting them from the city on August 17, 1864.
