John D. Swenson

John Deason Swenson also J. D. Swenson (born June 15, 1910) of Bossier City was a Louisiana Ku Klux Klan leader during the 1960s. Swenson was the state Grand Dragon and national organizer of the Original Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

In January 1966 he testified before HUAC telling the committee he burned the Klan records because he did not want them to fall into the hands of the communists.
