Johann Breyer (30 May 1925 – 22 July 2014) was a Waffen SS guard at Auschwitz. He acknowledged serving as an armed guard and escorting prisoners to their work sites and denied any personal role in or witnessing of any atrocities.

Later, he was a tool and die maker in the United States. Between 1992 and 2014, the Office of Special Investigations tried to denaturalize and deport him. He eventually died before an extradition hearing.

Breyer repeatedly rejected any involvement in or knowledge of the Holocaust. "“Not the slightest idea, never, never, ever,” Breyer told the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1992. “All I know is from the television. What was happening at the camps, it never came up at that time.”"[1]
