Holland

Relating to the Netherlands:

Holland is a region within the Netherlands, now divided into two provinces: North Holland and South Holland.
In English, Holland is often used as a name for the whole of The Netherlands (rather as "America" is sometimes used to mean "The United States"), although this is incorrect.
The Kingdom of Holland was a French vassal state covering roughly the area of The Netherlands during the Napoleonic Era (1806-1810).
