Helmut Oberlander

Helmut Oberlander is a Ukrainian born Canadian who has fought to keep his Canadian citizenship since 1995, when the Canadian authorities claimed he lied about his service in World War II when he entered Canada in 1954. Since 1995 his citizenship has twice been rejected, but has since been restored. The Canadian government is looking into charges and possible deportation hearings on grounds he was involved in War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

During his time in Canada, Oberlander had become a successful building contractor.
