Harvey Milk

Harvey Milk (May 22, 1930 – November 27, 1978) was a American-Jewish politician and homosexual rights activist. Born in 1930 in New York City, Milk moved to San Francisco in 1972 where he and his gay partner opened a camera store in San Francisco's gay district. Milk was also a supporter of Jim Jones and his Peoples Temple. On November 27,1978, Milk, along with San Francisco mayor, George Moscone were assassinated by ex-firefighter/police officer Dan White.
