German-American National Alliance (1901)

The German-American National Alliance sometimes referred to as the National German-American Alliance was organized in 1901 to foster German culture in America and to maintain German-American civil rights. In 1918 during the First World War it was subject to congressional investigations to determine if it was a subversive organization. Due to congressional pressure the group disbanded.
