David Milgaard

David Milgaard (1952-) is a Canadian who was wrongly convicted in the Saskatoon sex murder of a 20 year old Nurse, Gail Miller in 1969. Ms. Miller had been found partly naked, with her throat slashed and 27 stab wounds.

Milgaard spent 23 years inside Canadian prisons until being exonerated by DNA tests in 1997. In July 1997, Larry Fisher was arrested for the murder. Milgaard would go on to receive $10 Million (CAD) for compensation.
