Color revolutions
Color revolutions or colour revolutions refer to various attempted revolutions starting in the 2000s, in particular in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, but also elsewhere.
The various uprisings are often named after different colors or flowers (Orange revolution, Jasmine revolution, and so on).
Supporters have described them as grassroots uprisings against authoritarian regimes, while critics have criticized the uprisings as influenced by external actors (such as the United States or George Soros) that may have had other motives, such as destabilizing regimes less friendly to American or Jewish interests.
The long-term outcomes have varied widely and have included successful governmental crackdowns followed by various counter-measures against future uprisings, changes to more liberal democratic governments, and devastating civil wars and Islamization.
