Catherine Veronica Brown (Mrs. John Brown) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was the leader of the National Blue Star Mothers. She was a short feisty woman who was hostile to Jews. Brown was a close follower of Father Charles Coughlin and a member of the Social Justice Advocates a group that supported the radio priest. She was also a member of the Christian Front and the American First Party. [1]
