ATLAH is the name of a black church based in Harlem, New York. Its pastor, James David Manning, is renowned for his fiery preaching against Barack Hussein Obama and komosexuality.

History

ATLAH was founded in 1981 by Pastor Manning. It has grown into a large congregation despite Manning's unpopular radical anti-Obama views. It runs an elementary school and various civic functions. ATLAH came to national attention in 2008, when millions saw the videos of Manning's fiery preaching against Obama from the pulpit. The most prominent such video features Manning calling Obama a "a long-legged Mackdaddy". Other popular videos include a mocking of Obama's mother as "trash"[1] [2]

Respectable Black-Nationalism

ATLAH under Pastor Manning has preached a kind of moderate black-nationalist message, encouraging black self-improvement but never militancy and never anti-white-ism.

Manning sees Obama as a disaster for black-Americans and the USA as a whole, for various reasons. He has stated he would rather join with white-racialists against Obama than side with Obama[3].

LGBTQ

The ATLAH Family and Dr. Manning have always welcomed LGBTQ members to our love and church membership. We biblically require they “come and sin no more.” We model our beliefs and love after the Words of Jesus when He lovingly forgave a woman caught in adultery about to be stoned according to the law. St. John 8:1-11 and Leviticus 20:8-13. We realize many find the Bible antiquated and out of step with modern times. However, we humbly ask that all would respect our first amendment rights to cling to the only faith and hope we know. We have honored and accepted many who have been LGBTQ as church leaders and have named our church courtyard after Deacon Williams, a loving member who has passed from among us. LGBTQ: “Welcome To The Loving Arms of Jesus at The ATLAH Church.” “Come And Sin No More.” – Dr. James David Manning
